Data we collect and process for all website visitors

By the very nature of internet communication, the use of certain so-called network identifiers cannot be avoided — in particular the IP addresses of website visitors, and cookies.

These are primarily analytical cookies, which allow us to monitor user behaviour on the website (which pages they visit, how long they stay on them, etc.). You can find out more in the Cookies section.

Google Analytics

For web analytics on award.sjch.cz we use Analytics, an analytical tool from Google. However, we only collect the data we consider necessary or beneficial for the development of our services.

We use the data provided so that we can contact you and give you the information you have requested. We also use it for the purposes of performing a contract, i.e. providing our services.

We process all personal data in a lawful and transparent manner. We only require data that is adequate, relevant and necessary in relation to the purpose of the processing.

We may also use your first name, surname and e-mail address to send you commercial communications. This means we would inform you about events or services we provide and that we believe might be of interest to you.

Providing personal data for the purposes of performing a contract, and providing personal data in order to answer the questions you raise or supply the information you request, is a contractual requirement on our part. Failure to provide it may result in a contract not being concluded or in your questions not being answered.

You may refuse the processing of your personal data for the purpose of sending commercial communications at any time, and this will have no effect on our other mutual relations. Simply send us an e-mail with the relevant request to info@sjch.cz, or to another address from which we sent you the commercial communication.

We process your personal data for the period during which we provide you with services or perform our mutual contract. We also process it for the period necessary to fulfil archiving obligations under applicable legal regulations. These include, for example, the Accounting Act, the Act on Archiving and Records Management, and the Value Added Tax Act.

We protect your personal data to the maximum extent against unauthorised access, transfer and loss. Our data protection system comprises the following parts.

Electronic and physical security

We use state-of-the-art IT systems and applications. All applications used are secured by encryption and access to them is protected by login credentials.

Procedural security

Because we have mapped in detail all the operations we carry out with your personal data, we only collect the data we genuinely need.

Personnel security

All persons who come into contact with your personal data in the course of fulfilling their employment or contractual duties are bound by a statutory or contractual duty of confidentiality. This duty continues even after their employment or contractual relationship with us has ended.

We process your personal data as the controller. Access to it may be granted to processors who provide us with services such as server, web, cloud or IT services:

You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz).

The right of access means that you may at any time request confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed. And if it is, then for what purposes, to what extent, to whom it is disclosed, how long we will process it, whether you have the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or to raise an objection, where we obtained the personal data from, and whether the processing of your personal data involves automated decision-making, including any profiling.

You also have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data; the first copy is provided free of charge, while for further copies we may charge a reasonable fee to cover administrative costs.

The right to rectification means that you may ask us at any time to correct or complete your personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

This right means that we must erase your personal data if:

• it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed;

• its processing is unlawful;

• you object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing;

• we are required to do so by a legal obligation.

The right to restriction of processing means that until we resolve any disputed issues regarding the processing of your personal data, we must restrict its processing so that we may only store it and possibly use it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

The right to object means that you may object to the processing of your personal data that we process for direct marketing purposes or on the grounds of legitimate interest. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, your personal data will no longer be processed for those purposes.

A cookie is a small amount of data which the server of the visited page sends, in the form of a text file, to the user's device (whether a computer, tablet or phone), where it is stored. Each time the same web page is visited, it sends information back to the server.

Thanks to this, the web server can recognise, for example, that you have visited the site before and what language you use. Websites use cookies primarily to identify users and remember their preferences, and also for marketing and analytical purposes.

Cookies can be divided according to various criteria. The following classification is the one most commonly used.

Cookies by validity period

• Short-term (session) cookies are files that are automatically deleted once the user leaves the website.

• Long-term (persistent) cookies are files that remain on the device even after the user leaves the website. The period for which the files remain active on the device usually ranges from days to months.

• First-party cookies are files sent by the server of the website currently being visited.

• Third-party cookies are files stored by a site other than the one the user is currently on. These are cookies created and used by companies such as Google, Facebook, Seznam and others. Such parties may, for example, use the data collected to target advertising on other websites.

• Functional, essential cookies – necessary for the standard operation of the website. Without them, the user-friendliness of the site would be impaired to varying degrees.

• Analytical cookies – make it possible to monitor and analyse user movement on the website, the use of individual site elements, traffic to specific pages and other metrics. The website operator can then use the data obtained to improve the site or for marketing purposes.

• Tracking and remarketing cookies – used to optimise the advertising offered on other websites that carry advertising space.

• Conversion cookies – used to evaluate website performance and advertising effectiveness. They help answer questions such as which traffic sources bring in the most enquiries, which advertising systems have the best cost-to-results ratio, and so on.
